About Your Therapist

Anna Pierotti LPC, LCMHC

Ready to embark on your mental health journey? Let's talk!

My clients would describe me as witty and direct. When I have gained rapport with my client, I enjoy adding humor in therapy sessions when appropriate. Humor can give us a new and lighter perspective on situations, as well as release some much-needed endorphins. My passion is helping others with their therapeutic growth and to better understand their brain, thoughts, emotions, and actions. My clinical orientation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with an emphasis on the somatic brain-body connection. It is equally important to help manage anxiety and depression through cognitive awareness and learning from our physical cues.

I received my undergraduate degree at Western State Colorado University in Colorado and my graduate degree at Prescott College in Arizona. I finished my graduate career with a Master of Science in Counseling, specializing in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Somatic Psychology. My experience as a mental health therapist has been enriched through the various positions I have held; including, working in adventure therapy, adaptive recreation, Therapeutic Boarding Schools (TBS), Residential Treatment Centers (RTC), and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). Accolades in the therapeutic field include presenting at the Autism Symposiums in Asheville, North Carolina and again in Park City, Utah.

I grew up enjoying the vast San Juan wilderness in Durango, Colorado. I enjoy adventuring with my therapy dog Pacha, international travel, outdoor adventuring, gardening, rafting, kayaking, mushroom foraging, streaming good shows and movies, canning, and fermenting foods.

I look forward to our mental health journey together, I am ready when you are!
